Dr. Mauro Allan P. Amparado is a registered nurse and a graduate of Silliman University, Dumaguete City, Philippines in 1996. He has 2 master’s degrees: one in Business Administration and the other in Nursing Service Administration. He also finished the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Technology Management.
Dr. Amparado has participated as co-researcher in 3 projects of the CHED Zonal Research Center from 2009 to 2012, with a total of three million pesos in research grants. He is co-researcher of the study Botika ng Barangay: Its Contribution to Family Living Standards in 2009; co-researcher of the project Enhancing Educational Thrusts for Development in 2010; and co-researcher of the research titled Organizational Citizenship Behavior of the Private Higher Education Institutions in Cebu City in 2011.
Dr. Amparado has a total of 10 internationally published research articles which are all recorded in google scholar. These were published in the Asian Journal of Nursing, International Journal of Nursing Practice, International Journal of Social Sciences and the International Journal of Education.
Dr. Amparado has presented papers nationally and internationally including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Locally, he was recognized as best research presenter during the 70th Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Nurses Association Cebu Chapter. Abroad he was awarded best presenter in the 15th East Asian Forum of Nursing Scholars and the Asia Pacific Research Symposium 2012, Singapore. He was also awarded best oral presenter in the 1st Asian Conference in Education in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
He is the recipient of the Outstanding Researcher Award 2012 and the Outstanding Filipino Research Leader 2012 awarded by the International Association of Multidisciplinary Research and the Philippine Association of Institutions for Research Inc. at Marco Polo Hotel, Cebu City, Philippines.
A PACUCOA Accreditor, Dr. Amparado teaches Methods of Research and Human Behavior in Organizations at Cebu Normal University and University of Cebu. He was the President of the Philippine Nursing Research Society Inc. Cebu Chapter from 2012 to 2014. He is presently the National Auditor of the Philippine Nursing Research Society Inc. He is also a member of the Psi Beta Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Dr. Amparado is the Director of Community Awareness, Relations & Extension Services of the University of Cebu Lapu-Lapu and Mandaue, Mandaue City, Cebu, Philippines.
